Fixed term 12 month contract (to start September 2012)
Salary: £29,820 – £34,762
The Nuffield Council on Bioethics examines the ethical issues raised by advances in biology and medicine. It has achieved an international reputation based on quality, independence and the timeliness of its reports which both stimulate public debate in bioethics and give advice to policy-makers.
We are recruiting a Research Officer to carry out relevant research, oversee the management of information resources, provide and revise drafting for papers and reports, manage the production of publications, and assist with public dissemination activities.
The candidate will require a relevant degree for example biological sciences, medicine, philosophy, law or social sciences and knowledge of bioethical issues. Experience of a range of research techniques and resources are essential as are first-class drafting skills.
The contract is expected to be for 12 months full-time.
