Job: Lectureship in Law at the University of Edinburgh

The University of Edinburgh invites applications for a Lectureship in Law.


Applications are invited for a Lectureship (UE08) in the School of Law from candidates with core research interests in intellectual property and technology law and further interests in at least one of the following fields: e-commerce, media law and medical law. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the School’s teaching programme, particularly at post graduate level, and to undertake doctoral supervision. Applications would be particularly welcome from individuals with experience in practice and demonstrated success in research and publishing is essential. It is expected that the successful candidate will play an integral part in the work of the School of Law’s AHRC/SCRIPT research centre and will undertake a key role in the Centre’s Directorate.

The position is available from 1st September 2010. Appointment will be on an open-ended basis on the UE08 scale. The closing date for receipt of applications is 21st May 2010.

SALARY: British Pound 36,715 – 43,840
