You are warmly invited to attend one or both days of a two day research ethics event organised by the Centre for Professional Ethics at Keele University.
On the 20th of July 2010 will be a full day conference focusing on the topic of research ethics in Europe: what is done and how it could be done better. Details here.
On the 21st of July 2010 will be a half day workshop on the role of autonomy & informed consent in research ethics: some challenges.

It will also feature a presentation by the Wellcome Trust regarding funding opportunities for projects within the ambit of bioethics.
Attendance at the conference and workshop will be free of charge. Dinner and accommodation on the 20th will also made available free of charge for those staying for both days, however there are limited places available so please apply swiftly if you are interested.
