Conference: Does the NHS belong to the people? Thinking about the new NHS Constitution

Woodbrooke Conference Centre, Birmingham, 14th & 15th January 2009.

“Think About Health is a new network of NHS users, professionals and academics from many disciplines who want to add breadth and depth to discussions about the nature, function and future of health care services in the UK.

In this second conference/consultation, the Draft Constitution of the NHS will form a basis for creating a working agenda for further work and thought about the NHS.

  • What is, or should be, the scope and purpose of the NHS?
  • How should the NHS be governed?
  • Should change in the NHS be determined by evolution or revolution?
  • What kinds of roles and partnerships are now needed to help the NHS develop?”
